For me its 30in on any set up with no accuracy problems, and i would never recommend casting a knot regardless the type it is through the guild's.

How firm do you inflate tires? Psi gauges are having hard time reading pressure in these wheels, so i guess mine were sligthly unde inflated and i transported 80lb worth of weight and both tires started to bulge out on sides.

Coming from the bass world and big casting gear for big fish. The thinner diameter line you go with braid on a baitcaster, the more your at risk for birdnesting (professional overrun). Especially casting into the wind and different style of lures are more susceptible to wind. I suspect there using all aerodynamic jigheads and light gear. Theres other factors as well, like if your using a lure weight in the correct rod rating and how aggressive your casting. Wont be able to skip with such thin diameter either. Usually everything on a baitcaster is rated for mono diameter, usually you match that diameter to the braid. This is a very controlled environment.

I have always used Canoeman without any issues. I will look into the Non Slip, very interesting.

Beginner here with a new rod Found out there's a little switch you can flip on my open face reel that essentially removes all of the drag. Couldn't figure out why I had zero drag on a brand new rod with mono line and then found the switch lol

I’ve personally just started trying braid on my spinning with some decent success in clam wind, I’ve tried braid on my casting reels and it worked ok but after a catch the braid always buried itself in the spool causing the next cast to bind and be very short until you pull line off to free it back up

Bait casters are way more accurate and I would beg to differ that most bait casters cast way further than a spinning reel prove me wrong! But by the same token, I do love my spinning reels

Tips: cast lure that rod is rated for. I like standers guides on casting rods. Idk like the micro guides. I prefer suffix 832, I have Spider wire on a couple reels. 65lb Spider wire on a kast king reel. 8’ Star Steller elite 1-3oz, 15-30lb line rating. 2 ounce lures fly when I cast them.

Ive burned myself a thousand times on that exact same welder it aint that bad if u react quick it doesnt even leave a mark but it stings for sure

Did you guys also test how far a spinning rod would cast that lure? I heard at the end that the guy said it coincides with the distance of a spinning setup but never saw him test it with a spinning rod.

I’m curious when dropping down to 15lb braid on casting gear if you have issues with the line digging into itself on the spool? And what’s the lightest braid you’d recommend going to on casting gear?

I’d like to see a 4 carrier braid vs an 8 or higher carrier braid tested. The 4 would have a little more wind and line guide drag but I bet it’s very insignificant. Both being very close in diameter of course to keep it fair. I’m guessing around foot of difference.

PLEASE can you tell me what boat you are using is? PLEASE? My beloved wants us to get a boat to go fishing, but I am unable to identify the type of boat to purchase. If it was a new car purchase I'd be good. Does one want to purchase a Dodge? A Ford? A Nissan? A Prius, etc, I can identify the manufacturer and what type of vehicle is needed. But as for what type of boat to look for, and/or being able to identify the manufacturer I do not have the first clue. But I DO know that the boat in this video is the type of boat we would be wanting/needing. Thanks 👍

Largely it's line capacity, and the capability of handling heavier lines on bigger fish. I better stronger drag systems.

How do you keep the sea weed from snaggy them? Lots of weed lines in Florida. I would also recommend a piece of squid as strip bait.
